Youth Fellowship Group typically meets on Sunday evenings for
fellowship, service, Bible study, and FUN.
Youth participate in mission trips, attend retreats,
and build relationships with other youth.
All youth are invited to come and be a part of this amazing group!

The month of January was filled with spiritual rejuvenation as the Youth considered their faith journeys and considered the wealth (or lack thereof) of others. On January 3rd we made resolutions for the New Year to be more healthy and spiritual. The biggest commitment we have set out on is to set aside time EACH day to sit in silence and pray.  I’m proud to report that as of late the youth are doing really well with this commitment, so now we wonder if the congregation can join us in our commitment by setting aside time in their schedules to be silent and pray. We’ve learned that it is just as important to be still and listen for God as it is to talk to God.

On the 18th we distributed flyers for the Kendal Whittier Inc. Emergency Food Pantry to inform the neighborhood that if they need food assistance this is an organization that can help them. We distributed over 100 flyers. To help with the probable influx of assistance that the pantry will be providing, we will be giving all collections from ‘Souper Bowl 2010’ to the Kendal Whittier, Inc. Food Pantry.  Please remember to bring your donations on February 7th for this wonderful organization!

On the 24th of January we made hygiene packages for those suffering from the earthquakes in Haiti. We wrapped up the month making handmade Valentine cards for soldiers which will be available in the fellowship hall for people to sign. The weekend of February 12th I will be attending a youth leader conference at Dwight Mission with guest speaker Mark Devries. I am excited to learn some ways in which the church can have a sustainable youth program.
